About Us

Gleamin makes skincare for melanin-rich skin prone to dark spots and uneven tone. We started with one mask in 2019. Today, over a million people have trusted us with their skin.

Our story

It started with a kitchen habit. For years, people have mixed turmeric and vitamin C into homemade face masks to help their skin look brighter.

Our founder, Jordan Smyth, loved that idea. But homemade masks are messy, and fresh ingredients change fast. Jordan wanted a mask that kept the spirit of the DIY version and was made with real care.

The idea took shape in Australia in 2017. Jordan paired clay with a vitamin C blend from two Australian superfruits: Kakadu plum and desert lime.

It took two years to get the formula right. In 2019, Jordan founded Gleamin and launched the Vitamin C Clay Mask.

Our mission

Our mission is simple: skincare for melanin-rich skin prone to dark spots and uneven tone.

Dark spots and uneven tone can show up more on deeper skin tones. They can also linger for months. Too many products are not made with this skin in mind. Ours are.

We want to help dark spots look less noticeable and help you get a brighter, more even-looking tone. We do it with gentle, steady care, not harsh shortcuts.

What makes Gleamin different

• Made for melanin-rich skin. We build every product with deeper skin tones in mind.
• Vitamin C at the core. Vitamin C sits at the heart of what we make. Our mask uses a vitamin C blend from Kakadu plum and desert lime, sourced from Australia.
• Dermatologist tested. Three of our products were dermatologist tested: the Vitamin C Clay Mask, the Advanced Brightening Moisturizer and the Supernutrient Oil (see the note below).
• Honest about results. Good skincare takes time. Most people need 8 to 12 weeks of regular use to notice a change. Results vary from person to person.

Note: repeat insult patch test (HRIPT) by Princeton Consumer Research, October to November 2023. 52 adults completed the study, supervised by a consulting dermatologist. No irritation or allergic reactions were observed.
