A brighter, more even-looking skin tone isn't about using everything at once. It comes from a few good steps, done consistently. Here's the routine we recommend, and how to adjust it for your skin.

The core idea

Three things do the heavy lifting:

  1. Vitamin C every day, to support a more even tone (here's how it works)
  2. Sunscreen every morning, because UV is the biggest trigger for new pigment
  3. A gentle, steady approach, because irritation makes discoloration worse, especially on melanin-rich skin

Everything else is about keeping your skin clean, calm and hydrated so those three can do their job.

Morning

  1. Cleanse. Use a small amount of Clarifying Brightening Cleanser on damp skin, massage for 30 seconds, rinse and pat dry.
  2. Serum. Apply 1 to 2 pumps of Superactive Serum to dry skin.
  3. Moisturize. Follow with Advanced Brightening Moisturizer on your face and neck.
  4. Sunscreen. Finish with SPF 30 or higher, even on cloudy days and indoors near windows.

Night

  1. Cleanse as in the morning. If you wore makeup or sunscreen, cleanse twice.
  2. Serum. Apply 1 to 2 pumps of Superactive Serum.
  3. Moisturize. Use a little more moisturizer at night if your skin feels dry.

Once or twice a week

Swap your night serum step for the Vitamin C Clay Mask. Leave it on for 10 minutes, rinse, then moisturize. Read more about the mask.

Adjust it for your skin

Dry or balanced skin

  • Follow the routine as written.
  • On dry days, add an extra layer of moisturizer at night.

Oily or breakout-prone skin

  • Use the cleanser morning and night. Its gentle exfoliating acids help keep pores clear.
  • A thin layer of moisturizer is enough. Don't skip it, because dehydrated skin can make more oil.
  • The clay mask can go up to 3 times a week.

Sensitive skin

  • Introduce one product at a time, a week apart.
  • Start the serum every other night, then build up to daily.
  • Patch test new products on your inner arm first.
  • If anything stings or burns, stop and simplify.

How long until you see a difference?

Skin renews itself roughly every four weeks. Most people notice skin looking fresher within the first few weeks, and more even-looking after 8 to 12 weeks of daily use. Take a photo in the same light on day one. It's the best way to see your progress.
